Poem | Peace Like A River

Outpouring of Peace

There is peace

I cannot explain.

Day by day,

even amidst the pain and the calamities of

this life,

there is calmness in this space,

in this place where God reigns.

There is rain that refreshes

my soul,

that washes over me.

There is a fresh outpouring

of the wind of Glory.

The living water is here.

Right here,

Right now.

In Godโ€™s presence,

make room in your heart

for more.

Breathe and arise

with praise on your lips

declaring

of the wondrous things that God has done

for you.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. -John 14:27

Poem|The Journey Ahead

As the month of May comes to a close,

this I hope for you.

Light, joy and peace

for each new day.

Grace, favor and love your way.

May the love of Christ

overflow in your life.

With step that you take,

may you never lose hope.

Though this road is not

easy, may you be reminded

of the One who has never left you,

the One that goes ahead of you

and stands before you.

His name is Jesus.

He is for you and not against you.

Here in this place

and season,

He’s making all things beautiful with you,

for His glory.

Until next time, stay blessed & rooted in Christ ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒป

Love Rejoices!

Welcome into the month of May. We are currently on day 121 of 365. Honey child, the days are passing by and waiting on no one. As we have entered into this new day by God’s grace, this I pray for you. I pray that this month of May will bring forth praise. I pray that in everything that you do, you will rejoice and find delight in God’s word. May this month of May, be filled with joy overflow in your household and everywhere that you go. May you draw strength from Christ in times of weakness. May you call upon the name of the Lord. In everything that you do, may Christ be your firm foundation. May you be a light unto everyone you meet and may you bloom in this season. May the peace of Christ which transcends all understanding be your portion in this month of May. Declare over your life what the word of God says about you. God’s promises remain. They haven’t changed. May you learn to seek God before man. May the words you speak be fruitful and illuminate the character of God. Sing a new song unto God. Do not forget your Maker. Remember the One who has never forgotten you. The one who calls you by name. He is still God. He will always be now and forever more. It’s a new month. God is still speaking but He needs His children to listen. The Shepherd will never force His sheep to draw close but He will always be present.

God has blessed you and I, to see a brand new day. Someone didn’t make it to see this day. It is so easy to take each day being alive for granted. Many times, we get so caught up with everything that is going on around us that we don’t even take the time to thank God for giving us life. Every breath we take is all by God’s grace. So in this month, make it a priority to thank God for Blessed day He grants you to see. Give Him the praise. He alone is worthy. No one deserve the praise more than God deserves it. In this month of May, make room for God to do more in your life. If it means you have to dedicate this month of May to time spent with God, let it be. Social media will always be there. Don’t let that get in between your relationship with God. Let God have his way in your life. Abide, stay rooted and flourish in the presence of God. The pages of this new chapter is turning but God is still waiting on you to come like a little child, into His presence.

make you never forget to take the time,

to praise the One who breathed life into you.

Poem|You Are Loved

You are loved even on on days when you feel unlovable. You are the heartbeat of a God who has loved you from the beginning.

You are part of God’s plan. You are light interwoven by the arms of your Creator. You matter, not on some days but everyday. Remember this always, on days when the thoughts run wild through your mind, let the truth of God’s love envelope you each step of the way.

Happy World Poetry Day ๐Ÿ“š

Apparently, today is World Poetry Day. I totally forgot until I came across a blog post that served as a reminder for me. I’m a poet myself so today is a special day. So with that in mind, I’m going to be sharing some poems/quotes that I love as well as some African Proverbs that are insightful. Are you ready? Let’s go.

“Start now. Start where you are. Start with fear. Start with pain. Start with doubt. Start with hands shaking. Start with voice trembling but start. Start and don’t stop. Start where you are, with what you have. Just start.” -Ijeoma Umebinyuo

“I don’t trust people who don’t love themselves and tell me “I love you.” There is an African saying which is: Be careful when a naked person offers you a shirt.” -Maya Angelou

“I found flaws and they were beautiful.” -Nayyirah Waheed

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” -Maya Angelou

“You are beautiful but learn to work, for you cannot eat your beauty.” -Congolese Proverb

“He is who is afraid of doing too much always does too little.” -Nigerian Proverb

“However far the stream flows, it never forgets its source. -Nigerian Proverb

“He who eats another mans food, will have his own own eaten by others. -Swahili Proverb

“The road doesn’t tell the traveler what lies ahead” -Bantu Proverb

“Our daughters are prepared to run where your sons are taught to never go.” -Tapiwa Mugabe

“Hold fast to dreams, for if dream die. Life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field, frozen with snow.” -Langston Hughes

“One day, you will be drained and tired of those that come fetching your love and light, as though you’re a well.” -Akosua Atuah

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.” -Corrie ten Boom

The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, but the fact that I am a Christian makes me a different kind of woman.” -Elisabeth Elliot

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post. If I can list all the quotes and poems I love, I will be here forever. I hope that you were able to resonate with these words written by fellow writers. If you have any quotes or poems that you love, feel free to share it in the comment section.

Until next time, stay blessed & Lovely. Have a wonderful day ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒป

For the one who feels unlovable
Poem #1:
Daughter, you are cherished, loved and precious in the sight of God. Wear your crown. Let no man reposition the crown on your head.
Poem #2
bado kuna nafasi ya upendo
there is still room for love.
kuruhusu Mungu kujaza
allow God to fill
nafasi katika moyo wako
the spaces in your heart
ambapo maumivu yapo
where pain exist.
Poem #3
You are a woman.
my goodness, a woman.
How glorious is it to
exist in this body?
To live with yourself
day in and day out?
You are a woman.
Oh yes. a special kind of woman.
Unlearning yet learning
about yourself daily.
You deserve to be celebrated every day.
in all kinds of ways.
Poem #4
To the men who aren’t celebrated.
the forgotten souls.
To the brother’s still trying to find themselves.
Search within.
Keep unfolding.
Keep learning.
Curate your poems
Never forget to weave love into the intricate
parts of your soul.
You will need for the journey.

_______________ ๐Ÿฅ€_____________โค๏ธ___________

Remember always that God loves you. He is your first love. He has never stopped loving you. His heart beats for you more than you’ll ever know. Don’t wait for your lover to buy you flowers, darling treat yourself. Today is not the only day for love. You are loved every day, in so many ways.

Verses To Ponder:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.โ€  -John 3:16

โ€œGreater love has no one than this: to lay down oneโ€™s life for oneโ€™s friends.โ€  -John 15:13

โ€œAbove all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.โ€  -1 Peter 4:8

โ€œAbove all, be loving. This ties everything together perfectly.โ€  -Colossians 3:14

โ€œDear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.   Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.โ€  -1 John 4:7-8

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style. -Maya Angelou ๐Ÿ™‚

All pictures on this post aren’t mine. They are all found on google. ย All the names above are the artist/photographer’s names. There were so many names but the list would have been too long so I’ll post more when I can. For now, tell your friends and their friends. I know sometimes people don’t like to share but this platform is different. Support creatives. Invest in people. Empower one another. Stay tuned for the next set of creatives I will share. Until next time, shine bright. Hold hands with God. Take care. ๐Ÿ™‚
