Love In Action!

Scripture: For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. -John 3:16

Observation: God loved the world, we who are sinners but yet still He gave His one and only gift unto us (His Son) for our sake. He ask of just one thing (that we believe) in Him. We must surrender and truly seek the Father. It is a promise that whoever “believes” in Him shall not person but have eternal life.

Application: Love is God. He is the true and living embodiment of love. Just as Christ demonstrated His love for me, I must walk and exemplify Christ love in every way possible in my conduct and lifestyle.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for your love. Thank you for sending your only begotten Son to die on the cross for my sins. I am that I am because of your grace. Thank you for new life in you. I live because you live in me. Teach me Lord to love everyone that I meet. May my life be a reflection of who you are. Thank you for your everlasting love. Thank you Lord for everything.

Well said, teacher,” the man replied. “You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” -Mark 12:32-33

As we go forth into another week, I pray that we will experience the love of God in afresh way. May we gain a fresh perspective of God’s unconditional love for us. God’s love is enough. Love in itself can never be bought. It is a fruit that is birthed through Christ. It is my prayer that as we enter into a new week, we will make room for God to pour His love unto us. You see, God’s love has no prerequisite. It has no boundaries. It remains grounded despite our instability. It is not based on conditions. Love is like a river that flows. It cannot be stopped but when we build a dam, it prevents the water from flowing naturally.

As we venture into a new week, may we find rest in knowing that God loves us. He demonstrated His love for all of humanity by this one thing “The gift of Son Jesus Christ”. We have accepted this gift and daily we experience His love for us in so many ways. God (gave) and continually (gives) unto us. To give is a matter of one’s heart posture. May we continually learn the essence in abiding in presence of the Lord. His arms are wide open. There’s nothing we can ever do to earn the Fathers love. It is readily available unto us. If only we will seek the Heart of Father, is when we can truly experience His perfect love. May you experience God’s love for you as you march on into a new week. You are loved!

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post. I pray that you had a wonderful, restful week. Until next time, stay blessed and rooted in Christ.

  1. A lot of us know that God loves us because the Bible tells us so, but we don’t feel it. We know God loves us and Jesus died for us, but now what? Many Christians are not rooted in God’s love because they don’t know God’s purpose for their lives or even why they believe what they believe, so it ends in just going through the motions to finally walking away from God seems logical.

I know I threw in a twist to the purpose of your posts. But, I wanted to add a root to what I believe causes us to not believe that God loves us. Some of us carry a lot of baggage on this topic and to think about God, our first thought is to see a frown on His face shaking His head at us unwilling to come towards us, but this is simply not true. The Devil wants us to think that God is mad at us, that God is cold, harsh and demanding and these thoughts gets rooted in our mind.

Thank you for reminding us of the love of Christ!

    1. Kim, I definitely agree with everything that you stated. So many times, we hear the words “I love you” but when we don’t experience the love of our loved ones based on their action, it is quite difficult to understand love in itself. Love is God. May we continually ask the Holy Spirit to give us a fresh revelation of God’s love for us. May we experience God’s love with each new day despite our circumstances. Thank you for sharing. I’m grateful and it’s a blessing to read your insight in this topic. Have a lovely day Kim 🌻😊

  2. John 3:16 is my favorite verse and the first verse I ever memorized as a child. It’s the foundation of our salvation…For God So Loved The World. Because of His love we have all we need. Thanks Karen! ❤️

    1. It’s such a blessing to be refreshed by God’s word. I love John 3:16. For so long, I read that verse but didn’t really understand the kind of love that God demonstrated. Over the course of a few years, I’ve experienced Christ love and it is beyond comprehension. His love is the embodiment of true sacrifice. Thank you too Dawn. Have a blessed day 😊🙌🏿

  3. God is our greatest example of Love. He gave us His only son for the remission of our sins. As ambassadors of Christ, we are to show others love too without judging or condemning. Great post Karen. I love your latest post too, but it seems the comment was disabled.
